I’m so happy to finally be blogging Alyssa + Ira’s summer engagement session! We met up at the end of June, in Brooklyn, right near the Gowanus Canal, to take advantage of the awesome urban landscape it has to offer. Alyssa and Ira live nearby and they wanted their engagement photos to show the neighborhood where they started their lives together, as well as, and where they started their family together. I was absolutely thrilled to blend a traditional engagement session with a family portrait session, being that they just welcomed baby Mason about a month prior. And in typical baby fashion, this sleepy little guy stole the spotlight without even trying! Then we sent him off with grandma, so mom and dad could have their own time in front of the lens. I cannot wait to head back to Brooklyn in October to photograph their Prospect Park wedding. I won’t spill the beans, but it sounds like it will be a super fun time!
