What kind of equipment do you use? – I use professional grade Canon equipment; 5D Mark II & III camera bodies and various Canon lenses and flashes.
Do you set up lights? –
Are you a real business? – Yes, I am incorporated as Erika Koop Photography, LLC and work with an accountant and lawyer to ensure my business is run properly.
Do you edit all the photos? – I personally edit every photo that I deliver to a client. I try to give my clients as many photos as possible while regarding quality and without being repetitive. You will recieve all your files on a flash drive, ready to print, email, share, and enjoy!
Will you help style my shoot? – I am happy to give advice and tips on wardrobe, make-up and props, but I leave the styling largely up to the client. Most importantly, I encourage clients to dress comfortably in something that will make them feel confident!
Should we use props? -
Can you suggest locations for photography? – Yes! I’m happy to make suggestions and I always have a few places in mind that I would like to try. I always encourage couples or families to pick a location that is meaningful to them, whether that be their home, a favorite park, or anywhere else they love.
In 2016, my family and I lost my brother, Zachary, to a rare form of colon cancer. He was 27 years old, an accomplished cyclist and working his dream job as a bicycle mechanic - he was a dedicated, loving family member, teammate and employee who is greatly missed.
In Zach's memory, a portion of my annual sales are donated to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in support of cancer research and care.
