Louis + Katie took the leap!! Their intimate micro wedding took place at their home last week on Leap Day! They got ready together, read private vows, married in their living room, braved the cold for outdoor photos, snacked and sipped, and soaked up every moment with their parents, siblings, and pup. It was such a pleasure capturing all their joy, smiles, and laughs!

This wedding was an extra special one for me, I’ve known Louis since we were kids on the town swim team together and his sister and I are good friends and former high school teammates, plus I’ve also photographed her wedding and two of their cousins’ weddings, so I was beyond excited to spend time with their family again!

I have to say, Louis and Katie made my job so easy, they simply enjoyed their day, enjoyed each other, and let me hang around with my camera and give a little input along the way, I think that really shows in the photos we captured together. Extra points: We allowed for plenty of coverage time, so no one was in a rush to “get photos done”, it allowed for candids to unfold naturally, everyone to have breathing room, and portraits to be super relaxed! (Especially in the winter, when we needed to run inside to warm up in between!)
