As the 2022 wedding season is beginning for me, I wanted to take a minute to post about how much I love photographing micro-weddings! I’ve been offering micro wedding photography packages within my pricing since 2019, because they’ve always been some of my favorite celebrations to photograph. Since COVID, micro-weddings have become a really popular choice and I hope they’re here to stay! Personally as someone who is more low-key and introverted, I really enjoy how intimate and relaxed micro weddings are, I’m always able to connect with the families and guests on a more personal level too. I’m so excited to work with all my 2022 micro-wedding couples in New Jersey this year, who have all planning such unique, personal celebrations – I’ll be at restaurants, private homes, summer camps, just to name a few! Here are a few of my favorite photos from micro weddings in the past!
Kimberly + Tom’s micro wedding took place in the summer of 2019, they were married at their family’s beach house at the Jersey shore. With about 30 of their closest friends and family members, they had the ceremony and reception in the backyard, which was on the bay, so they were able to take a dingy ride together right after they tied the knot! When they came back they told us that neighbors were all cheering for them and sharing celebratory drinks as they rode through the bay!
Liz + Xavier planned their micro wedding at The Valley Green Inn last October. It was such an intimate and romantic location, the Inn is a perfect cozy setting for a micro wedding, it was a dream to photograph them! (Bonus, the reception area is open-air, if you prefer that due to Covid.)
Jonathan + Roselyn’s micro wedding took place in Bergen County, NJ at Davis Johnson Gardens in Tenafly, followed by an intimate reception at SEAR Steakhouse in Closter. It was such a pleasure being a part of their wedding and spending time with their friends and family. (BTW, I was so happy when they told me they actually discovered Davis Johnson Gardens through my website, I had previously photographed Karlene + Uzziel there!)
